Summer camps

During this summer our team held a number of JUMP camps in the following cities: Morshyn, Poltava, Irpin, Kyiv, as well as sports festivals in Kyiv region. We were able to serve about 540 kids through our programs and influence them positively even through the war, we wanted to be able give the kids a little bit of their childhood back.

We also continue to have weekly meetings for refugee kids in Morshyn city (western part of Ukraine), and it has been a blessing to see that these meetings have been beneficial and the kids look forward to them.

Humanitarian aid

Our organization also is assisting in humanitarian including providing food, hygiene products, and medicine.

With everyone's support, we were able to buy a minivan which has allowed us to be able to serve so many more people. We collected and delivered humanitarian aid to both east and west parts of Ukraine, and were able to organize transportation for kids to participate in our programs.

We traveled to the cities that are active war zones and constant shelling is taking place, one of them being

Kramatorsk, 3 trips were made there and we were able to provide aid to over 70 people and 30 of them being children.

Winter is coming…

As we prepare for winter, we are fundraising not only to continue the work we are doing but also to prepare for the cold months ahead we need firewood, coal, warm clothes and other neccesary supplies to get through it.

    Our Team

    Dima & Nastya

    directors

Our family has served children in Ukraine from 2014, including; orphans, refugees, low-income, and blind children. We created a team of volunteers, that have made it possible to accomplish our projects that provide children with love, attention, and help.

    Leah

    volunteer

I have travelled to Ukraine for four years now and ever since the first trip I had developed a heart for orphans, refugees, and those who suffer from poverty. I felt an urge to fight and provide for those who weren't able to for themselves and to love them greatly. I believe that change is done by just starting with one child, if you can't save a million kids then just save one.

    Arslan

    secretary

As a former social worker at a child protection services I know how much emotional suffering many children go through. I had no doubt that I need to extend my professional skills to help these children.

    Ivy

    treasurer

In 2016, I went to a refugee camp in Ukraine as a volunteer and absolutely loved that experience. Not only did I learn to appreciate the life I live in the United States and made a lot of wonderful friends, I also decided that I needed to help orphans and children in poverty.

    Nariman

    founder

When I first interacted with abandoned children in an orphanage, the hurt and conditions they lived in moved my heart – I needed a moment. On that day I told myself, “I have to do something about it” and since the 90s, my close friends and I dedicated our lives to this cause and to dreams of these children.

    ---

Since late 1990s founders of Dreams of Children International were passionate about orphans and children in poverty. They saw first hand that no government, not even their parents were interested in investing in their future or in their dreams.

Just like any other kids, these children in Ukraine, Kazakhstan and other post-Soviet countries are dreaming of becoming pilots, firefighters, doctors, loving moms and hero-dads.

And we are dedicated to help them so their dreams become true.

For over 20 years, our team members and friends have been providing for orphanages and disadvantaged kids in Ukraine and Kazakhstan with food, school supplies, clothing, volunteering in summer camps, education, English language classes, and sports clubs.

In 2020, we decided to get officially registered as a non-profit organization.
